Drive, Not Dive in IOS

A car. A plank. Good luck.

Drive Not Dive is an ingenious physics-puzzler that feels like a cross between 'Bridge Constructor' and 'Trials.' The core gimmick—drawing the road as you drive—is executed perfectly. It turns every level into a real-time creative challenge. You have to balance the need for a smooth path with the limited amount of 'ink' you have to draw with.

The physics are bouncy and fun, leading to some hilarious crashes, but the game is generous with its checkpoints. It’s incredibly satisfying to finally nail a drawing that lets your car leap over a massive gap and land perfectly on the other side. It’s a great example of simple mechanics used in endlessly creative ways.

Dinsun Review

I’ve seen this 'teeter-totter' mechanic done a thousand times since the Flash game era, and Drive Not Dive doesn't bring much new to the table besides a coat of clean paint. You tilt a plank, you collect coins, you don't fall. It’s the definition of a 'bathroom break' game—fine for three minutes, but devoid of any actual depth or long-term engagement. The 'chaos' coins feel more like random number generation than strategic elements.

The unlockable cars are just cosmetic skins that don't fundamentally change the shallow gameplay loop. They’ve integrated 'iOS 26 Challenges,' which is just a fancy way of saying they want you to nag your friends for a high score. If you're over the age of 15, the novelty wears off before the first loading screen finishes. It’s a competent distraction, but calling it a 'game' feels like a stretch for anyone who remembers when software had substance.

In Drive Not Dive, you are the architect of your own survival. As your car moves forward automatically, you must draw the path ahead to prevent it from plunging into the abyss. Navigate through loops, over giant fans, and across crumbling platforms. Each level provides a limited amount of road-ink, so you'll need to be efficient and creative with your drawings to reach the finish line.
