Dungeon and Gravestone has that 'old school' difficulty that I actually respect. It doesn't hold your hand. The hunger mechanic (blood level) is a constant pressure that prevents you from just wandering aimlessly. It forces you to make decisions quickly. The voxel art is cute, but don't let that fool you—the game is mean. You will die, and you will lose things.

The controls are a bit stiff, which is my main gripe. In a game where positioning is everything, sluggish movement is a recipe for frustration. It's a bit too repetitive in the early stages, and the progression can feel glacial. But for a mobile roguelike, it has a certain charm and depth that is missing from the flashy, ad-laden garbage usually found on the store. It’s a solid time-sink for those who like a challenge, even if it feels a bit unpolished in the UI department.

Tips

Managing the Blood Level

Your character has a 'Blood Level' that constantly drains. If it hits zero, you die. Collecting blood from defeated enemies or finding pools of blood is more important than finding gold. Always plan your route to the next exit based on where the nearest blood source is located.
