Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 is a triumph of level design. The first game was already great, but this sequel feels more confident and expansive. The 16-bit art style is gorgeous and nostalgic, but the actual puzzles are modern and ingenious. It’s essentially a 'puzzle-crawler'—it looks like a dungeon-delving RPG, but every encounter is a logic puzzle that requires you to observe and react to specific patterns.
What makes it special is how it tells a story through the environment. You feel like you’re actually descending into a deep, ancient place. The difficulty is perfectly tuned; you'll get stuck, but the answer is always right there in front of you if you just slow down and look. It’s one of those rare games that makes you feel genuinely smart when you solve a floor. It is easily one of the best puzzle games on mobile right now.
Dinsun here. It’s rare that I give a score this high, but Dreadrock 2 earns it. It understands that 'retro' isn't just about pixel art; it’s about mechanical purity. Every level is a self-contained logic problem that feels fair but challenging. It reminds me of the best parts of Dungeon Master or Eye of the Beholder, but stripped of the clunky UI.
The sequel expands on the first game perfectly. The new mechanics aren't bloat; they add genuine layers to the puzzles. It’s one of the few games on the App Store that feels like it was designed by someone who actually likes video games rather than someone who likes monetization models. It’s a 'thinker’s' game. If you have the patience to fail and learn, this is as good as it gets on mobile. No fluff, just pure, concentrated game design. It’s excellent.

Dungeons of Dreadrock 2: The Dead King's Secret continues the nostalgic 16-bit aesthetic of its predecessor, blending tactical grid-based movement with intricate environmental puzzles. Players must navigate treacherous traps, battle mythical creatures, and solve riddles that require both logic and timing. As you descend further into the mountain, the narrative unfolds through atmospheric storytelling and challenging level design.

Success in Dreadrock depends on observing enemy patterns. Every step you take triggers a response from the environment or monsters. Use the 'wait' mechanic to let enemies move into positions where they are vulnerable or to avoid being crushed by timed traps.
