Lacrosse Arcade 2014 is a rare gem for fans of the 'fastest sport on two feet.' While big-name sports games ignore lacrosse, this indie title steps up with a surprisingly deep simulation. It captures the essential flow of the game—the dodging, passing, and that satisfying 'thud' of a well-placed shot hitting the back of the net.

The variety of game modes is its biggest strength. From 1v0 shooting practice to intense 4v4 mini-games and a 'Horde' mode where you weave through a dozen defenders, there’s plenty to do. The controls take some getting used to, as managing movement and stick aim on a touch screen is inherently tricky, but once you master the dodge mechanics, it becomes very rewarding. It’s a bit rough around the edges graphically, but for anyone who plays the sport in real life, this is the best mobile representation you’ll find.
