Dinsun Review
At this point in my gaming life, I've pushed through enough grid-based mazes and push-block puzzles to last three lifetimes. Maze of Thorns doesn't reinvent the wheel; it's a completely functional, clean-looking puzzle game where you slide tokens or characters through thorny pathways. The logic ramps up nicely, forcing you to plan your routes ahead of time rather than just swiping blindly, which I can appreciate as an older player who prefers substance over flashy fluff.
That said, it gets repetitive fast. The visual palette barely changes as you move through levels, and after about an hour, it starts feeling less like a recreational puzzle and more like a logic homework assignment. There is no real narrative hook to push you forward, just stage after stage of green vines and sliding paths. It's fine for killing time on a subway ride, but don't expect a masterpiece.
