Money Heist: Ultimate Choice is a premium narrative experience that successfully captures the high-stakes tension and moral complexity of the hit Netflix series. As a player, you aren't just watching the heist; you are the newest member of the crew, and your decisions carry genuine weight. The writing is the standout feature—it perfectly mimics the voice of the characters you know, especially the Professor’s calculating tone and Berlin’s volatile charm.
The game utilizes a sophisticated 'Relationship System' where your choices affect your standing with other crew members, which in turn unlocks different tactical options during the heist. The visual novel style is elevated by cinematic transitions and a soundtrack that keeps the adrenaline pumping. It’s more than just a tie-in; it’s an expansion of the lore that respects the fans while being accessible enough for newcomers. For anyone who enjoys 'Choose Your Own Adventure' games or heist thrillers, this is an absolute must-play.
I’ll be honest, I expected another cheap TV tie-in, but the writing here actually caught me off guard. It feels like 'Money Heist'. The stakes are high, the Professor’s plans are suitably convoluted, and the characters don't just feel like cardboard cutouts. The fact that your choices actually seem to steer the ship is a welcome departure from the usual 'illusion of choice' found in mobile interactive fiction.
However, it's not all smooth sailing. The UI is clunky and feels a bit dated, and I ran into more than a few grammar errors and glitches that broke the immersion. It’s also exclusively for Netflix members, which is a bit of a hurdle. For a 40-year-old gamer like me who appreciates a solid narrative, it’s a decent way to spend a few evenings, but it lacks the polish of top-tier visual novels. It's a 'practice run' for the crew, and in many ways, it feels like a practice run for the developers too. Good, but could be much better.
Performance: Occasional glitches and grammar mistakes; UI can be unresponsive during scene transitions.

Every choice moves a hidden meter. 'Precision' choices keep the Professor's plan on track, while 'Chaos' choices often lead to faster results but higher risks. Try to keep the meter balanced to unlock the 'True Ending' where the entire crew escapes.
While fans will enjoy the references, the game features a self-contained story that introduces the world and characters perfectly for new players.
