My Exercise⁢ in IOS

Let's do sit-ups.

Walkthrough, Guilds, Tips on this special game

Our Site Score

90/100

My Exercise is unlike anything else on the App Store. It is a wonderfully weird, charming, and oddly moving game about doing sit-ups. You control a young boy performing exercises alongside his chubby dog, and that’s essentially the whole game. However, the magic is in the details. As you tap to perform sit-ups, the world around you reacts in increasingly surreal and heartwarming ways. Animals join in, the environment shifts, and the simple act of exercising becomes a celebration of movement and companionship.

The art style is clean and expressive, reminiscent of indie animation, and the sound design is pitch-perfect. It’s a short experience, but it’s one that sticks with you because of its sincerity and humor. There are no levels to beat in the traditional sense, and no competitive leaderboards—just a pure, artistic expression of a simple activity. It’s a 'small' game that feels huge in its emotional impact. If you want something that will make you smile and perhaps feel a bit more connected to the world, 'My Exercise' is a beautiful little gem.

Dinsun Review

I don't really know what to call this. It’s an 'experience,' I suppose. You press a screen to make a kid do a sit-up and rub a dog. That's it. As someone who's been playing games since the NES, I struggle to find the value here. It's eccentric, sure, and the animation style is unique, but there’s no challenge, no progression, and no point.

It feels like a student art project. I'm sure some people will find it 'charming' or 'whimsical,' but for me, it's a five-minute distraction that costs money. It’s conservative in its design to a fault. If you want art, go to a gallery. If you want a game, look elsewhere.

Q&A

No, while it is themed around sit-ups, it is a game meant for entertainment and artistic appreciation, not for tracking real-world fitness.
