Picture Cross (also known as Nonograms or Picross) is one of the most addictive puzzle formats, and this app nails the execution. The progression is very satisfying—you start with small 5x5 grids to learn the ropes and eventually move on to massive, complex images that take a significant amount of time to solve.

The thematic packs are a nice touch, giving you a sense of accomplishment as you reveal an entire 'scene' by completing individual puzzles. The controls are precise, which is vital for later levels where a single mis-tap can ruin a long streak. It's a great 'coffee break' game that keeps your brain sharp.

I love Nonograms. There’s a mathematical purity to them that most modern puzzles lack. Picture Cross delivers the goods in terms of content—there are more puzzles here than you could ever finish. However, the app itself is a bit of a mess. It’s cluttered with 'energy' systems, coins, and constant prompts to buy things. If you can ignore the mobile fluff, the core logic gameplay is satisfying and well-calibrated. It's just a shame it's wrapped in such a gaudy package.
