I actually think this is better than the baseball version. Tennis translates perfectly to this 2D, pixelated view. The timing required for shots feels legitimate—you can't just mash buttons. You have to think about your court position and the type of surface you're playing on. It reminds me of the old 'Tennis' on Game Boy, but with ten times the depth. The career mode is addictive and the progression feels earned. It's a conservative game in the best sense: it knows what it wants to be and it executes that vision perfectly without any unnecessary modern fluff. If you're looking for a solid sports title that doesn't treat you like a walking ATM, this is it.
