Low Commitment, High Reward
Wed Jan 08 2025 loganahernI stumbled upon this game from another app, and so far it’s been one of my favorites games I’ve ever played before.
Most games I download have a high level of commitment, leaving me stressed about all the little things I have to do to maintain good play.
Room Sort, however has just two things: The puzzles, and the house you build from the rewards of the puzzles. Only two things to think about—I love it!
I love choosing the furniture for the room, however, after paying $9.99 for the app, I do feel frustrated that I have to watch an ad to get the furniture item I want. I wish that paying for the ad free version had more benefits, other than removing ads. Maybe 500 coins, a special building unlocked, no ads at all, etc.
I like how the levels vary in complexity, however, after about 65 levels I’ve noticed they just repeat in a cycle, I’m guessing about every 40ish or so. So, at level 406, I think I can safely say I’ve played every level at least 10 times. Please bring us more puzzles!!
Even though I’m upset over the value of the ad free version, the amount of puzzles available and the ads still integrated, I’m still giving it a 5/5 stars due to the commitment level and overall challenge of the puzzles!
Fun but Limited
Sat Nov 16 2024 Nana1757I have completed level 1053. I have noticed some of the puzzle games are repeats, but it took me a while to realize they were repeats and even though they are repeated usually I’m way into doing the puzzle again before I realize “hey, I’ve done this before” . As for the second part of the game, I have finished 3 houses and even though the rooms were pretty much the same for each one, the layout that I made was different and the color schemes were different. I don’t like how the rooms are set in place and you can’t rotate them, this is the rectangle shaped rooms, It would be nice if the windows could be put on different sides of the room so that you could actually line it up correctly, it would be nice to have a second story if we’re not going to get more houses and more shapes moving the sidewalk would be nice so you could move your entrance somewhere else, but I understand that being a fixed spot . the ads are numerous, but fortunately they’re mostly fairly short. I understand that there is no paying actual money for this game so I can tolerate the extra ads overall it is an enjoyable game. I do like that I can move the furniture around in the rooms. We’ll see what happens in the future. I have nowhere else to go so I am just accumulating coins waiting for the next house. Maybe it will have a garage or playground!
Overall good game but could use some more things
Tue Aug 20 2024 Kittnlvr06I really love this game and enjoy playing it but there are a few things I wish the game had. Number one, I wish there was more to do in terms of the actual house, I completed the house not too long ago and now don’t know what to do. I wish there was a second story because of the staircase in the Grand Room. Number two, I wish you could choose which wall to put the windows on because I had to put all the rooms with windows to the left side so they are actually looking out and not to another room which left no room for the Study Rook that had the big window I wanted to place, I ended up doing the sound proofing instead. Finally, Number three, I wish you could change the orientation of the rooms to fill in some more space on the lot or add more rooms for the same reason as well. Ultimately, this is a great game to play it’s fun and also kind of relaxing for me and I think with these add-ons it would be even better!
I’d like to binge the puzzles instead of being sent to home each time.
Wed Dec 18 2024 AlexEnder4As other reviewers have said, there is quite a bit of repetition in the levels that I noticed pretty early on. But thats not so much my issue (kind of expected with sorting puzzle games anyway). My issue is that you complete a level of 3 puzzles, you watch your obligatory ad at some point during the level, and then… you’re back to the home screen. I really wish I could just churn out on some puzzles. It’s not like you’ll have earned enough coins to add to your house yet anyway. Besides, even if I did, sometimes i just want to focus on the puzzles instead of going back and forth between puzzles and decorating. I really wish the game would let me just keep going through puzzles without the interruption of not only the ads, but being sent back to home. Though I guess for some of my fellow players, the ease at which you can do a level and then close the app would be a benefit…
The houses are hilarious
Sun Jun 08 2025 Archangel BethFloor plans are my catnip, so I keep playing this, despite the utterly terrible layouts. The ads between games usually get a "skip" icon after about 5 seconds, then 10 of a splash page before the edit icon happens. So not too bad. (Plus the ads have been appealing to me a few times and we'll see how some of these clothes fit...) Have ti play the entire ad to get some of the fancy stuff for the "decorate the house" minigame – which could use more explanation: you *can* change the furnishings (hold till the selection comes back), but I discovered this by accident. Also, different rooms for different plots would be nice. Multi-bedroom, rather than one bedroom + kid room, that kinda thing. And it bugs me that the rooms don't have places for doors! They're mostly "teleport in and out," I guess.
And a *dark mode*. I would play this more at night with one of those.
Great game!
Sun Sep 22 2024 BenGenGalI decided to come back to update my review now that I’ve been playing for a while. It is a lot of ads, but I don’t even mind that now because it really is an awesome game. The puzzles are challenging but never too hard that you can’t solve them. You accumulate coins as you go that you can then spend on building your own house, and the house you build and design is highly customizable. You can even go back and change the color or design of furniture that you’ve already placed or move it to a different spot. I also like that you don’t have to pay to play, and you can play as much as you want. If you miss the daily challenge you can still go back and play it but you also get extra rewards for logging in each day. It is a really well designed game.
Give different interior design options plz
Fri May 30 2025 EmyliineThe puzzles are fun, though the difficulty plateaus at a certain point. Which I wouldn’t mind if the tertiary gameplay of designing our own houses wasn’t the same interior design options and room types over and over. At a certain point you get a “potions room” and an “office” in your otherwise normal house. I thought it was a hint that we’d be designing different buildings once we completed the first - going from designing a home to an office building to a store to a hotel and even getting into “weird”buildings like a witch’s house and such… I was excited to reach those. But then it was just the same thing over again :| I was so disappointed. If the puzzles kept getting more challenging OR the interior design aspect was more varied, I’d probably keep playing this for ages. But without either of those, I’d suggest people finish designing the first house and move on.
It’s fun but needs some changes
Sun Aug 11 2024 Snowboardcat21I love this game, however I have gotten to the point where my levels are repeats of past levels. I don’t mind the ads at all (surprisingly), but it’d be amazing if there could be newer and more challenging levels. I’d also like to be able to do past daily puzzles and maybe do a daily sign in for the coins 🤷🏼♀️. I’d also like to be able to move items around (or have the option to remove them) in the house because no matter what layout I do, I always have issues with ways into and out of the rooms (the window walls seem to always be on the left side??) and it would also be cool if I’m able to move the walkway to the entrance. I will keep playing this game until I hyper fixate on something else, but these suggestions would definitely improve the gameplay
Overall a fun time waster, but not user friendly
Tue Dec 03 2024 #cute&calming!Updates!Playing this game has been super fun, especially because I haven’t been able to find any other games quite like it! I have always enjoyed the idea of building your own house and the puzzle arranging is a fun idea. What’s more, the puzzles actually get slowly more challenging as you go on!
However, the introduction is sorely lacking, I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to adjust the furniture or store it once I have placed it down. Also, you can’t change the direction of the rooms, or choose where you want your walls to be. You can’t change the furniture design later on either, so now I’m stuck with two rooms that don’t match and a shelf in front of a painting.
In conclusion, it’s fun and is easy to get into, but isn’t user friendly or adaptable enough for me to recommend getting it.
Way too limited.
Tue Jul 30 2024 Elacie123I absolutely loved the game. So why only two stars? Two reasons - first, there are way too many ads. But the amount of ads would have taken off, at the most, one star. I did get kind of used to them. What took off the other stars was that once you finish building that one house you’re finished. That’s it. And that took me only about one week. I had assumed that when I did everything, I would get a new lot and different furniture to build another one. Also, the puzzle segment of fitting rooms into the blueprint , is just the same layouts over and over again. You just end of memorizing the layout so the challenge is over. This could have been my top relaxing game to play in a long time if they had just put more effort into it (they must be getting plenty of money with all the ads to do that) instead of a game I guess I’ll just delete now since there’s nothing left to do.
