Score Keeper is the app that every board gamer needs but didn't know they wanted until they used it. It replaces the messy scraps of paper and lost pens with a sleek, digital interface that tracks everything perfectly. The history feature is the best part—if someone argues about a score from three rounds ago, you can pull up the timestamped log and settle it instantly.

It’s clearly built by someone who actually plays games. The addition of Dark Mode and Landscape support for AirPlay shows a level of polish you don't usually see in utility apps. It’s simple, effective, and does exactly what it says it will do without any bloat. I never host a game night without it.

I’m including this because it’s in the list, but let's be clear: this is a utility, not a game. As a scorekeeper, it’s fine. It’s better than using the default calculator app or trying to find a pen and paper at a board game night. It’s simple, it doesn't crash, and it saves your data if the app closes.

However, it lacks any advanced features. There’s no history of games, no complex stat tracking, and no themes. It’s the bare minimum required for the task. It looks like an app from 2009 because it essentially is one. I suppose it’s 'conservative' in its design, which I usually like, but here it just feels basic. It does its job and nothing more.
