The game is essentially a race; you want to expand your infrastructure (farms, barracks, harbors) without overextending, as the goal is to impress Empress Agrippina before the end of the fourth year.

The digital implementation is clean, though the iconography can be a bit overwhelming for newcomers without a tooltip system (a common point of feedback in the community). However, once you learn the symbols, the strategic depth is immense. The weekly solo challenges and global high-score lists provide great replayability for those who enjoy optimizing their 'engine.' It’s a cerebral, rewarding experience for fans of heavy euro-games and city-building strategy.

I appreciate a good Eurogame, and Discordia has some clever ideas—specifically the reverse-worker-placement goal. However, this digital port feels like it was made in a vacuum. It’s functional, yes, but it’s essentially just a static spreadsheet with Roman icons. There’s zero attempt to use the medium of video games to make the experience more engaging.

The UI is cramped on anything smaller than an iPad, and the tutorial is a wall of text that would make a tax lawyer blush. If you already love the physical board game, this is a fine way to play solo on the go. If you aren't already a fan, there’s very little here to pull you in. It’s competent, logical, and utterly boring to look at. A 'conservative' port if I ever saw one.
