Clever 4ever is a fantastic digital adaptation of the popular 'roll and write' board game genre. As a puzzle expert, I found the complexity of the scoring sheets to be incredibly rewarding. It’s a game about making the most of every roll, balancing immediate points with long-term engine building. The 'cascading' effect—where one box check triggers another—is perfectly implemented here, giving you those dopamine hits that make the genre so addictive.

The UI is clean and functional, which is vital for a game with so many variables and interconnected scoring areas. The single-player mode is a great way to test new strategies, while the daily challenges keep you coming back to see how your scores compare to the global community. It’s a cerebral, polished experience that proves you don't need fancy graphics to have deep, engaging gameplay.

Dinsun Review

I've always respected the 'Clever' series for being actual games, not just dopamine dispensers. Clever 4ever is an incredibly tight exercise in optimization. It demands your full attention, which is a rare and welcome thing on mobile. The new silver and grey sections add layers of strategy that took me several games to even begin to grasp. It’s satisfying when a plan comes together and you trigger four bonuses in a single turn.

However, it's starting to feel a bit cluttered. The series has always been about simplicity masking depth, but 4ever feels like it’s trying a bit too hard to be 'the most' complex. The UI is a bit cramped on a phone screen—this really needs an iPad to breathe. It’s a solid entry, but I wonder if they’ve reached the limit of what this specific formula can provide without becoming a chore.

How the time flies!

It goes by even faster with "Clever 4ever". With this new member of the success series you will meet old acquaintances and new friends. The rewarding system of the Clever series is again filled with interesting challenges and tricky decisions.

Are you willing to accept negative points for certain bonuses? Which numbers do you use to trigger the most useful effects?

Of course, there are five new dice categories this time as well, including the arrangement of the bonuses, which again make it quite tricky to find the best moves.

The grey area in particular stands out with new possibilities and challenges, as topological aspects come into play here for the first time in the Clever series.

In addition, the new feature "Polishing Silver" allows you to rotate the cube to a different numerical value before placing it, as long as it is taken from the silver tray.

As always in the Clever series, you can not only collect Achievements in your search for the best solution, but also compete with other players in the weekly high score list.

Whoever masters this successfully is then truly "Clever 4ever".

Requires iOS 11.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
