Tennis Club Story is another masterpiece from Kairosoft. It takes the familiar management sim formula and applies it to the world of tennis with such charm and depth that it’s hard to put down. It’s not just about winning matches; it’s about the holistic management of your facility. You’re building training rooms, managing sponsors, and even choosing which souvenirs to sell in the gift shop.

The progression feels perfectly weighted. Seeing a rookie player you scouted slowly rise through the ranks to win a Grand Slam is incredibly rewarding. The 'Kairosoft charm'—the pixel art and the quirky humor—is in full effect here, but beneath the cute exterior is a very serious management engine that requires careful planning of stats and gear. It's easily one of the best sports management sims on the App Store.

Dinsun here. If you've played one Kairosoft game, you've essentially played them all, and Tennis Club Story doesn't do much to break the mold. That said, the 'mold' is quite good. The pixel art is as endearing as ever, and the sense of progression as you turn a ragtag group of amateurs into pros is genuinely satisfying.

However, it lacks the 'magic' of Game Dev Story. The tennis matches are fun to watch at first, but after the hundredth time, you'll wish you could just skip them. It’s a very safe game. It’s relaxing, it’s fair, and it’s well-made, but it’s essentially the same game Kairosoft has been making for a decade. Good for a cozy weekend, but not a revolutionary experience.
