Vegas Pool Watch is a surprisingly capable pocket billiards simulator that lives right on your wrist. For an Apple Watch game, the level of detail is impressive—it features full 3D viewing with tilt and zoom, which is essential given the small screen size. The physics feel realistic, and the addition of 'English' (spin) allows for much more technical play than you'd expect from a watch app.
The 'Lite' version is a great way to test the water, but the full version is where it really shines, offering longer matches and a much-needed 'undo' feature for those accidental slips. It’s the perfect 'waiting in line' game. The controls are intuitive, using the Digital Crown or touch to aim and shoot. If you're looking for a way to turn your Apple Watch into a gaming device, this is one of the more polished and playable options available.
Dinsun here. I’m a fan of efficiency, but playing pool on a postage-stamp-sized screen is where I draw the line. This is a gimmick. The physics are surprisingly decent for what it is, but the actual act of aiming and shooting using the Digital Crown is a lesson in frustration. My fingers are simply too big for this to be a serious gaming experience.
It’s the kind of thing you show off to your friends for thirty seconds to prove your watch can do more than track your heart rate. After that, you'll never touch it again. It’s cramped, it’s fiddly, and it’s a waste of battery. If you want to play pool, use your phone. If you want to use your watch, check the time.
Performance: Runs smoothly on Apple Watch Series 4 and later; older watches may struggle.
