Fighting games are built on frames and precision. X Clash: Dare is built on chaos and microtransactions. The 'touch-optimized' controls are essentially just simplified inputs that take all the skill out of the genre. You don't learn combos; you just tap the screen and hope your character's move has more priority than the other guy's. It’s a shallow experience that will bore any serious fighting game fan in minutes.

The 'Dare' system is just a fancy name for ranked play with a betting mechanic that encourages spending real money on power-ups. It’s predatory and takes the focus away from the actual fight. The netcode is also quite spotty—expect plenty of lag and dropped inputs. If you want a real fighter, stick to Street Fighter or Tekken on a real console. This is a toy.
