Once you finish everything for the day, the game kind of lingers the rest of the day. The game needs to be advertised as it really is to avoid so many dead castles. People save the dog and then don’t want to play after they realize the truth. Game needs to be set up on levels, that way same level people can face off against each other as they grow to avoid people quitting. I love the lay out in most ways but I believe changes like these could catapult the game into the future and make it a top tier experience for everyone. More rewards need to be available but you have to make it somewhat challenging. The game has glitches and some customer support issues that need to be resolved and I hope these issues can be fixed soon.

Thu Jan 29 2026 ShadyQueen21I’ve played this game for a while now. It originally got me with the fake adds for save the dog, but I ended up liking the game anyways. And I met some cool people in my union. But the longer our server existed the more war game it got. Right now there’s 3 events every single week that repeat and never take a break. Where your entire server or union has to fight and battle someone else’s. And it’s gotten to the point where you can only survive if you drop an entire house mortgage on it. And recently there’s been so much stress involved in this game. You have to constantly be online. It’s extremely addicting to some people. And a few people in my server have literally gone into debt because of this. So, if you have an addictive personality, please do not play this game. It is a game on your phone, and not worth thousands of your hard earned money. After a certain point it takes literal months to upgrade buildings without spending. And even with the event earned speed ups, you can only cut it down to half the time if you’re smart. It’s just time consuming and I’m actively watching people having their lives ruined because of this game.

I clicked on the save the dog, hoping for hours of that one game…when I first saw that there was more to it- I almost felt betrayed by clickbait, then I remembered I was looking for A game to play—this turned out to break most of the rules of these types of games. It’s made for micro bursts of play- and the game dynamic supports this. It’s so new the meta is just being discovered, and the content is always engaging. If you understand that these kinds of games want you to pay, so they put you into emotional states to encourage that- but you don’t HAVE to pay to win.. you can win with timing focus and strategy. This game is comprised of several mini games inside of a larger game that cooperatively plays a much larger game. The mini-games generate extra troops—everything has a purpose- and the nuance is buried so you have to figure out details.

Sat Oct 04 2025 MilkyteaaaAt first, I didn’t think I was going to play this game because it wasn’t exactly like the ads. But once I started building my castle and leveling up my heroes, I became addicted! It’s really fun and surprisingly engaging once you get into it.
That said, I think there’s still a lot of room for improvement. For one, there should be more ways to customize your castle. It’s frustrating that you can’t hide or change certain buildings, and many of the decorative pieces don’t match the overall castle style. I’d also love to see more themed events that change with the seasons. For example, October could feature Halloween-themed decorations and special limited-time events. Lastly, I wish we could get some hero customization. Perhaps there could be unlock-able costumes for our characters that give us different power ups.
Overall, it’s a great game with a lot of potential if the developers continue to add more creative features and customization options.

Sun Nov 16 2025 BertyyyGAD FREE! I was reeled in with an ad on Facebook to Save the Dog, and was surprised by what else I found. Game starts strong with lots of quick castle and other building upgrades, and obtaining heroes and survivors. After about 7-10 days it gets slower and you you’re forced to be more intentional with resources available and less guidance. And more patience is now required to collect resources over time to continue to upgrade and ascend heroes after I’ve begun to lose battles. I’ve figured out several things on my own that I wish would’ve been part of a tutorial. Overall, I enjoy the game and the mini games within!

Sun Oct 19 2025 Highlights 123Honestly, I downloaded this game to save the dog. However, I soon learned that it is more of a clash of clans kind of game mode. Am I disappointed? No. The game is honestly really fun and I have a chance to connect with a lot of wonderful people. With servers clash going on at the moment, things are getting a lot more fun. The reason why I stated the review title as it is because I want this game to attract more people with the intention of playing it. It might take awhile to get more players but those who choose to download will stick around and actively playing this awesome game. That is all I have to say and I take away one star due to that. Side note - please fix Monica - that hero is unbalanced and perhaps bugged with the ridiculous damage it causes. Thank you!

Sun Jan 11 2026 Hollandaise245Downloaded the app to play the save the dog game. Only to find out that it is not only a mini game, but also locked behind the actual game’s content. You’re forced to progress the main game or you cannot play all the save the dog games. In the beginning you are breezing through the game no problem unlocking more levels, and it’s fun, but after a few days you quickly get caught up and the game slows down to a point you cannot progress quickly anymore without spending some serious money on in-game currency. The rest of the save the dog mini game is now “soft locked” behind long waiting periods while you wait for resources to upgrade your city and heroes, which is a part of the main game that I’m not even here to play.. Of course, this soft locked content also applies to the actual game itself, as the monsters and levels outpace you unless you spend money on in game currency, items, and heroes.

Trying to set up a 3v3 matchup?
Good luck. The enemy team strength jumps around like it’s possessed. One second the enemy’s units show 80 power, then you come back and suddenly they’re 100+, and by the end of the fight you find out they were WAY stronger the whole time. It’s literally impossible to set up a fair match when the numbers lie every time you click.
And customer support?
Honestly, it feels like a joke. I’ve submitted multiple reports. The last time, they asked for screenshots — which were already included — so I sent them again. Immediately after I hit send, the case magically closed on its own. No reply. No explanation. No mail. No in-game message. Nothing. Just: “Your case is closed, rate us 🤣🙃😐.”
Amazing customer service, 10/10. 🙄
If the developers are going to advertise one kind of game, deliver a completely different one, and then ignore the players paying actual money… this is exactly how you lose loyal users.
