Shape Clash feels like a mix between Tetris and a fighting game. It’s incredibly hectic, but once you find your rhythm, it’s immensely satisfying. The game does a great job of starting slow and introducing the physics of each shape before throwing you into the deep end with high-speed ranked matches.
The minimalist art style works in its favor, keeping the screen readable even when twenty shapes are flying around at once. It’s definitely more 'action' than 'puzzle' at higher levels, requiring some serious twitch reflexes. If you enjoy games like Puyo Puyo Tetris, this will be right up your alley. It’s a fresh, clever take on the puzzle-battle genre that feels great on mobile.
This game is a mess, but sometimes a mess can be fun. It’s clearly designed for short bursts of play. The character designs are weird (in a good way), but the actual combat feels a bit loose. It’s hard to stay engaged when a lot of the 'strategy' feels like luck. Okay for a quick match, but don't expect to be playing it for months.
Performance: Occasional lag in multiplayer matches.
Buy if: You want quick, frantic multiplayer action.
Skip if: You prefer tight, skill-based competitive games.
Available on: Mac, Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, iPod
Version 1.15.1Thu Jun 25 2026
RACING and BUBBLES have both gotten a lot of love from our designers, and the result is a sleek, delightful, and suave set of games that feel brand new!
RACING CHANGES
Improved game feel of the CAR controller:
- Camera has been pulled back, giving you a better view of the path
- The camera pans in the direction you’re steering
- We added suspension to the car
- We slightly recolored the car
Improved feel of the BICYCLE controller:
- It now stops when you let go
- It leans instead of turning sharply
- It gives a *bell ring* sound when stopping and shooting
Overall RACING changes:
- Improved feel of picking up bombs: Bombs and other pickups now display themselves when picked up, so you’re never in doubt. Of anything.
- We added a speed-up effect to better communicate that you’re being boosted
- We have visualized the drafting-mechanic: You can now see that being in the slipstream of your opponent will give you a speed boost!
- Players now keep going past the finish line in slow motion. *sunglasses*
- To avoid triggering Reachability, the input circle has been shrunk a bit and moved slightly up
- We delayed showing the minimap and other UI a bit
- The second onboarding level has been removed. You got this!
BUBBLES CHANGES
- The big one: We change the Bubble colors/patterns for readability!
- We updated the look of the white row-clearing bubbles (R U HYPED!?)
- We added a row-clearing highlight
- We updated the pufferfish to be more impactful and puffery
- Bombs now cause a Chain Reaction
- We Increased the spacing between middle row and bubble playing field
- Scoring a point now has a nice effect!
- We added a tiny screenshake when popping bombs
- Bubbles no longer despawn when final point is reached
- Trophies now animate in at the beginning of the level instead of starting there
OTHER CHANGES & FIXES
- We put Marius from Shipping in timeout from Daily Missions. He needs to learn to play nice
- We reduced memory usage by ~35%, preventing crashes on older devices
- We fixed an issue where the Couch Clash Event only counted as one match each time you entered, regardless of how many matches you played in a row
- We fixed an issue where bombs exploded as soon as you fired them in some RACING combos
- We fixed an issue where your purple balls and the elephant’s purple balls didn’t interact properly, so having three balls was not enough in the PURPLE RAIN combo in BUBBLES. Balls.
- We fixed an issue where the Daily Keys could be broken when you went into the dialogue
- We fixed an issue where Trainer interaction circles were not closed correctly when leaving them by clicking “OKAY”
- We fixed an issue where the trophy animation didn’t play simultaneously for both players when a match ended in a draw.
- We fixed the card foils being tiny!
- We updated the CLASH Credits
FIXES in 1.15.1
- Fixed an issue with the 'Seagull Shuffle' event
Shape Clash is a unique blend of puzzle-solving and competitive combat. Players control a set of geometric shapes and must launch them into the arena to counter their opponent's moves. Each shape has unique properties: triangles pierce, circles deflect, and squares tank damage. By matching colors and shapes at high speeds, you build up energy for devastating special attacks. With a deep single-player campaign and intense local multiplayer, Shape Clash is a test of both mental agility and manual dexterity.
