Fun, Quick Point & Click!
Thu Sep 23 2021 VagaTheVixenFor the people who complain that there is no text and the game is hard to follow, the game is actually really straight forward and all the hints lie within the cards. All you have to do is tap the cards for a preview. The game is great and allows you to try different methods to get different outcomes in each scenario.
For those of you who actually read reviews before playing a game, just don’t listen to the 1 star reviews, they’re all written by people who don’t want to put even the slightest effort in trying to figure out a SIMPLE POINT AND CLICK game or are legit complaints about a bug that seems to have been patched already.
Fun game! My only complaint is that it is very short and does leave you wanting more. Was able to 100% the game in a few hours. Hoping to see more in the future!
Czech Gem
Thu Oct 17 2019 DianaoboAs a Czech immigrant in the USA, I rarely ever come across anything Czech and usually have to explain to people what Czech Republic even is. I can’t begin to explain the sheer excitement and pride I felt playing this game, especially when I opened it for the first time not knowing what to expect. The graphics are beautiful and the animation is very reminiscent of the traditional movies and books I grew up with. The characters are familiar and are clearly inspired by cultural tropes, and I hope people all over the world that are playing this game can appreciate the unique style of storytelling.
I wish there was a tutorial but I suppose part of the challenge of the game is having to figure things out for yourself. I love that you can replay the game in order to unlock different achievement and discover an alternative route to the end. I’ve never played a game like this before!
Master Piece
Tue Mar 17 2020 MurcielagoZhouThis game is just amazing. The story is fun even without any dialog. There’re many ways to solve the same problem and they will lead to different paths. The flipping cards clearly tell you about that how many possible paths you’re missing. It is just worth playing more than once. The puzzle design is interesting, you need to do experiments on different combination, the progress is pretty fun. The graphics is unique but very well done. The character animation is engaging and you can clearly tell their reaction to your input. The only drawback is the game is too short. It took me about 1 hour to finish the 1st run. For sure it will take more time if I want to unlock all the cards, but if the main story can be a bit longer for the 1st run, it will be even better.
Wonderful Game and Fun Replay
Tue May 26 2020 ComputerDadI played through the game and really enjoyed it. The artwork is very well done and the animation and music fit very well together, creating a polished theme. Controls are easy and intuitive. The story isn’t very deep, but each character has enough to make you interested in learning more. The minor complaint I have is that the achievement cards can be difficult to figure out how to get, because they are fuzzy. If the developer had made them grey and then colored them when unlocked, I think it would have been better. I played through it multiple times until gaining everything.
Nicely done game and a perfect length for casual gaming!
Good, but so, so short.
Mon Nov 02 2020 the_zaurielI really enjoy these types of fun, nonverbal adventure games that get across the instructions/goals via pictographs. I am a fan of Machinarium and Botanicula. I was having a blast with Pilgrims, so imagine my surprise when, after getting to the point where you can cross the river, the game suddenly ENDED instead of simply taking you to a new map as I’d assumed it would. It was a real let down, and is the reason why I can’t give the game 5 stars. I did a complete run through in just a few hours of gameplay. I suppose they expect replay value in order to collect all of the cards, but honestly that doesn’t incentivize me much (I’m not an achievement completionist). I really was just hoping for it to continue. But for the short game it was, it was unique and I had fun playing it.
great game, read if your interested
Sat Apr 22 2023 def goodoverall, pilgrims was a great game. I loved the adventure and the art. i must say that this game is a bit too easy, and takes less than 30 minutes to finish. the main goal is getting a bird for an old witch (storyline doesn’t make sense) you have to go through stages of getting things for the other civilians and do some really random things and interact with odd things. this would’ve been a 5 star if it weren’t so easy and fast to finish. looking at this game I didn’t expect it to be so easy, nor fast. so i really would recommend updating it and adding another storyline that isn’t as short. otherwise, i completely recommend this game and hope the you the reader get this app.
Brimming with Culture
Thu Dec 02 2021 MaNiFeXMy first play through was amazing. Having grown up playing early console and computer games, I appreciate having to “figure things out” on your own to learn how to play. The animations and illustrations are fabulous and rich. The music and dialogue is enjoyable and the mechanics are perfect for a phone or tablet.
My maternal grandmother was a first generation Slovak-American and I feel so much of her family in this. There’s a balance of melancholy and joy in this game that perfectly embodies the Slovak side of my family. Thanks to all who put their energy and talents into this game. Your contributions really shine!
This game is perfect. Download immediately.
Thu Apr 22 2021 jordanelizabethsheltonI literally never leave reviews, but I felt like I HAD to with this game. Everything about it is so charming and beautiful. The art, the music, it’s so simple yet so full of depth. Despite the lack of dialogue, it’s still so easy to understand and feel immersed. I am absolutely dying to have more of this story, even after playing through many times to get different outcomes. The only bad thing I can say about this game is that it’s not longer, I need MORE because I want to continue to get lost in this little world with all of these characters.
First of all...
Tue Mar 17 2020 mcmurraybrianReally fun game. But...There needs to be more to do! Playing the same thing over and over! More places more Items more friends! However, this is a beautiful game and for humans who like little Change this game would be fantasy! I Like this game because it’s you decide! Tangled Tower, my least favorite game on Apple Arcade, is nothing like this. If you like Tangled Tower I guess you won’t like this game. There’s no right or wrong, No risks or luck, just you! This game is perfect for peeps with Free spirit and follow the wind. If you like playing one story All the way through, Don’t get this game. But with no bugs and perfect graphics, You can always follow the Wind!!!
Your friend on Apple Arcade,

Short But Charming Adventure Game
Mon Oct 21 2019 uberyakThis brief adventure game won me over with its charming folklore-inspired art style and humor. The game is played out by moving among set pieces and throwing out character and item cards to produce an interaction and obtain additional cards. The puzzles are not complicated and you can complete the game in an hour or two. You can go back to replay the various scenarios in the hopes of producing different interactions, which memorialize themselves with an achievement-style card. Unfortunately, you must repeat a number of steps to get the items and characters to allow for these interactions, which cane be tiresome and limits replayability. Overall, a charming little addition to Arcade.
