55/100

Blade vs Fruits: Watch & Phone is a very basic fruit-slicing simulator that focuses on portability. While it's available on iPhone, it's clearly marketed as a 'mini-game' for the Apple Watch. The gameplay is as simple as it gets: fruits fly up, you swipe to cut them, and you try to avoid the bombs that occasionally appear to ruin your streak.

Unfortunately, the game struggles with some polish issues. Many users have reported calibration and lag issues on the Watch version, which can be frustrating for a game that requires quick reflexes. It doesn't have the variety or the depth of the more famous fruit games it takes inspiration from. That said, as a 'micro-distraction' on your wrist, it functions. If you're looking for a quick way to use your Apple Watch for something other than checking notifications, it's a cheap option, but don't expect a high-fidelity experience.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun again. We've reached the point where we are porting decade-old mobile concepts to watches just because we can. Slicing fruit on a tiny screen with your finger blocking the entire 'arena' is not my idea of a good time. It’s derivative, lacks any original flair, and feels like a cash grab on a platform that doesn't need more distractions.
