I’m usually a 'mechanics first' kind of guy, but Amanita Design is the one studio that can make me forget that. CHUCHEL isn't about solving complex puzzles; it's about seeing what hilarious animation triggers when you click on something. It’s basically an interactive Looney Tunes short. It’s absurd, it’s loud, and it’s genuinely funny—which is a rare feat for a video game.
The art style is fantastic, and the music is wonderfully weird. My only complaint is that it’s very short. You can finish the whole thing in a single sitting. But every minute of it is polished and creative. It’s the perfect game to play with a kid or someone who doesn't usually like games. It reminds me that games can just be about joy and slapstick humor.
