Ads and performance
Fri Jun 27 2025 DaphneJadeThis is a 4+ age app. There should be no adult ads on this, but I keep getting semi-pornographic, AI, gambling, and drug ads no matter how much I report them (when possible) as they’re against my morals. Meaning no, they’re not targeted no matter what the ad companies say. Some of the things being pushed at me aren’t even legal where I live.
The other issue is performance. Even on the lowest setting, putting my phone on a fan or bit of marble, it gets very hot after a while of playing. Also as far as performance goes, a lot of the timers say you’ll be able to get something in X number of hours, but when you come back that many hours later, it still says you have many hours left to be able to claim that thing.
The second bit, especially, makes me sad because it’s a really great time waster when I’m working out or in a line waiting to check out somewhere. Those issues (inappropriate ads and taking up more resources than things like Pokemon Go or Merge Dragons) and I’d swap my rating for 5*
New Update Broke The Game
Wed May 14 2025 TheRealKoutaAs of yesterday you could sink time into the rings and eventually get to the next chest. Now, it’s blocked by gear power which doesn’t seem to have been balance tested. There’s no good way to gain gear power at the moment aside from clothing items which only drop from chests that appear to be broken after you claim them the first time. To put this into perspective, I was on the third set of rings yesterday morning, but now it’s saying that I need 2200 gear power to carve it. With the pitiful two gear items the game gives you, I have 100 gear power… I can’t progress without prestiging and starting over. Then, you have to upgrade the gear items using orbs collected from another area of the game that was just added, but for some reason, the blades are super slow and can only be upgraded using diamonds. Also, the gloves the game gave me have to be upgraded using diamonds as well. I don’t know why my goggles can use the orbs, but the gloves require diamonds. It’s super frustrating. Diamonds can only be bought or slowly and painfully collected via watching an obnoxious amount of ads or by carving into wood/ground mini games. It was really fun before and just difficult enough to keep it interesting. But now I might just be done with this game. I spent a lot of time getting where I was and now it’s just not worth it anymore. My progress has essentially been reset and it just feels terrible. The game was a 5 before.
Sigh-update. Now I’m annoyed.
Sat Nov 08 2025 SeriouslyMeFromNumber04Update. I haven’t had a functioning game in months. I enjoyed it so much. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling. I’ve tried everything. No luck. I’ve submitted tickets. I literally can only pick up a blade and walk around. I know sometimes glitches happen when people cheat (at least with other games…)-I’ve never come close to cheating because cheating is boring. Why can’t I even delete and restart? Ugh! So annoyed. I even paid for no ads. Never doing that again with Rollic games.
So many bugs. At one point, I couldn’t even play because screws never appeared to get to the next level. Other times, quests say to upgrade something but won’t mark as “completed” until you upgrade something completely different. There is one part of the game that used to have a 3 hour timer that I haven’t seen for weeks. The timer never shows up, so the item never does, either. There are so many more bugs, but this highlights the most frustrating of them for me. This was a fantastic game for the first few weeks of playing. It was relaxing after a long days work. Then the bugs started appearing. Now it’s getting more frustrating every day. I’m finding other games and tasks.
an almost good semi-idle game with prestige mechanics
Fri May 02 2025 warlockishgameplay is relaxing and simple. players earn their way to automation (the idle aspect) as they progress through the game and earn experience and money. players can also use the prestige system to earn permanent upgrades in exchange for restarting their workshop.
however, the game also has an 'energy' mechanic that is confusing and clearly designed as a money sink. 'energy' controls the spin of the central wood disc the player is planing as well as all automations. it has a countdown timer which Looks like a refill timer, but isn't - the actual refill timer is accessed by clicking the energy icon and it's absurdly long; you need to wait four (4!) hours to earn 20 minutes of energy. to earn more, you can either watch 2 ads once a day.... or buy it. energy costs, at its cheapest, ~83¢.
i'm fine with watching a couple ads to speed progress in games, but the energy mechanic breaks this game unless you spend money on it. without this mechanic i'd rate the game 4/5. i hope the developers remove it or make the energy use/recharge rate more reasonable.

Wed Sep 17 2025 CharmedAndreaTo be perfectly honest I do love this game, it would’ve been a full 5, but, huge BUT, I’ve “contacted” the creators 4 times to fix my game & it’s still messed up. And not 1 single response to my emails saying we see you we hear you we are working on it. I just want to carve my stuff & level up. It’s a relaxing easy game to play when I’m watching tv & my hands get restless. It was so great & then it messed up the first time. I deleted the game after I got no responses. Then restarted the game & I had gotten to 13 at the time. I’m back to a 12 again & I spent real money on the game so I’m not deleting & redownloading it this time. But all I can do is carve the stones with the gems every few hours & go to the 2nd area & carve the metal orbs. I’ve been leveling up with money from the ads but it’s useless without an ability to carve. And boring. I miss playing the game when it was working. Most likely I’ll be deleting the game permanently bc a game that’s consistently not working & emails being ignored say “we don’t care” so why should I? I’ll miss this easy game that I found so relaxing.
Problems
Sun Jun 29 2025 NYRM1517I personally love playing this game but the first time I downloaded I played without problems for a few weeks and payed money a few times the things in the game went haywire. I deleted the game because I could just not progress because of the glitches. I re-download and tried to regain my progress and or purchases but it would not let me. So I just started from the beginning again which is fine like I said I like the game. Payed more money for different things and now again glitches! The second part the sphere helper drones don’t show up or do anything even though I have energy the spots are there for the recharge but the helpers are just gone. I would like to keep playing but can’t keep paying money just for it to mean nothing because of the glitches. Please fix these. I would like to talk to someone about the problems I have had but don’t know how to contact anyone because even in the game when I click contact for help nothing happens! Please help. If my problems are fixed I will write a new review because I do really like this game.

Sat Aug 09 2025 LoonaLandingThis game was fantastic and super engaging. It was super fun to play and progress. When you reset to claim prestige you keep permanent upgrades and get to keep having fun. Since the new update you can no longer play the game while out of energy. It used to be that the disk stopped spinning and the robots went to sleep. Now you have to pay to regain energy or wait, but the time won’t go down if the app is closed. I’m not keeping it idle for 5 hours to refill the energy. The other glitch that happened with the update is that all the robot rank upgrades disappeared and if you upgrade a rank and then leave the app it resets but doesn’t refund the currency spent on it. Now my game is glitched to where I have full energy but it’s stuck on the “no energy” page. I would have written this all out to the support page, but when you click support it’s a completely dead button. Prior to this bad update it was a really fun very playable game. I’d be willing to update this review if they go back and fix the game.
Energy Punishes Players Who Like The Game
Sat Apr 12 2025 edmondstaI’ve been playing Carve Quest for the better part of a week, but I can only play for as long as the game allows because of the energy function. Progress comes to a grinding halt when energy runs out and I still can’t figure out how long it takes for energy to replenish. There is a 20 minute timer in the sidebar but you don’t gain energy after the timer is over. Watching ads allows you to replenish only one energy a day.
I thought buying the no ad option in the shop might allow me to play the game without these unnecessary lulls, but no… it only stops the forced ads (which aren’t even frequent enough to warrant this purchase). The developers are trying to force players addicted to the game to regularly buy the in game currency with real money to actually enjoy the game for as long as players want.
From the screenshots of the game in the App Store, energy wasn’t a part of the game. Restore the game back to unlimited energy, and the game would be absolutely solid.
