Chop Chop Hockey is a frantic, no-holds-barred arcade experience that perfectly captures the spirit of 'pick up and play' mobile gaming. Eschewing the complex simulation aspects of professional hockey games, Gamerizon focused on speed, big hits, and intuitive touch controls. The result is a 3v3 brawler on ice where the lack of a referee means you spend as much time checking opponents as you do chasing the puck.

The 'Chop Chop' control scheme is the star here—simple swipes and taps allow you to pass and shoot with surprising accuracy once you get the rhythm down. The cartoonish graphics are vibrant and look great on Retina displays, adding to the lighthearted, high-energy vibe. While it lacks deep management or career modes, the tournament structure and variety of unlockable arenas (including a graveyard!) provide plenty of arcade fun for quick sessions.

I've been playing sports sims since NHL '94, and this... this is not that. Chop Chop Hockey is designed for people with the attention span of a fruit fly. The controls are 'intuitive,' which is code for 'I don't have enough control over my players.' It’s fast and the hits are satisfying, but there’s zero tactical depth here. You just flick and pray.

The art style is charming in a cartoonish way, and it runs smoothly enough, but after three games, you've seen everything it has to offer. It’s a distraction, not a game you'd sit down and invest time in. If you're looking for real hockey, keep walking.
