Dinsun Review
I’ve been playing pool in smoky bars and on digital screens for over twenty years, and Coffee Pool feels like it was brewed with recycled grounds. The 'coffee' theme is purely superficial—just a skin over a very standard, very basic billiards engine. While the physics aren't broken, they don't offer anything that hasn't been done better a thousand times since the early days of Flash gaming. It’s functional, sure, but it’s utterly devoid of soul or innovation. For a guy my age, I need more than just 'it works' to stay engaged.
The progression is linear and uninspired. You clear a table, you move to the next. There’s no real tension, no high-stakes tournament feel, and certainly no reason to keep coming back once you’ve seen the three or four background variations. It’s the kind of game that litters the App Store nowadays: high on 'aesthetic' and low on actual substance. If you're looking for a serious pool sim, this isn't it. If you're looking for a deep puzzle game, this isn't it either. It's just... there.
