Dinsun Review
Dig Deep is the kind of game that is fun for exactly thirty minutes. The loop of digging down and coming back up is a classic trope in gaming, and this version does it competently. The pixel art is charming enough, and the upgrades come at a decent clip initially.
But once you’ve cleared the first few layers, the game reveals its lack of depth. There are no real threats, no complex puzzles, and the environments are basically the same with different colored blocks. It’s a very safe, very conservative mobile game that doesn't want to challenge the player in any way. It’s perfect for when you’re on hold with your insurance company, but it doesn't have the staying power of something like Motherload or Terraria. It’s a 4/10—it works, it’s cute, but it’s entirely disposable.
