Dinsun Review

Frost World has the right ingredients: the tension of a ticking clock, a bleak setting, and satisfying base-building loops. However, it feels like it was released six months too early. There are literal hard-stops in the progression where items needed for upgrades simply don't exist or won't drop, making the late-game a frustrating exercise in futility.

The survival mechanics are standard fare—don't freeze, don't starve—but the implementation is buggy. The dog companion, meant to help scavenge, often glitches or fails to find necessary items. It’s a shame because the core loop of fortifying a gas station in the snow is actually quite engaging. Until the developers patch the progression blocks, it's hard to recommend spending any real time or money here.
