I usually hate 'masocore' games that just exist to frustrate you, but Geometry Dash is different. It’s fair. When you die, it’s because you missed the beat, not because the game cheated. The 2.2 update finally dropped after years of waiting, and it added a ridiculous amount of content.
What I respect here is the honesty. One price, no nonsense. The community-made levels are where the real meat is—some of them are visual spectacles that push the engine further than I thought possible. It requires the kind of focus and muscle memory that keeps an old brain sharp. My only gripe is that it can be physically painful to play on a touch screen for long periods. It’s a masterpiece of simple design executed perfectly. Not for the faint of heart or those with slow reflexes, though.
