Our Site Score

90/100

Geometry Dash Meltdown is a concentrated dose of everything that makes the series great. It’s fast, incredibly punishing, and the music is so infectious that you don't mind failing a hundred times just to hear the track again. The neon-hell aesthetics in this version are particularly impressive.

While it only has three main levels, they are masterfully designed and offer a significant challenge for veterans while remaining accessible enough for newcomers to try. It’s the perfect bite-sized expansion of the Geometry Dash universe, proving that simple 'tap to jump' mechanics can still be incredibly deep when paired with great level design.

Dinsun Review

I have a love-hate relationship with Geometry Dash. It’s infuriating, but I can’t stop playing it. Meltdown is essentially more of the same, which is exactly what the fans want. The three levels included are masterfully designed—the sync between the music and the hazards is impeccable. F-777’s tracks are pulse-pounding and keep you motivated even after your 500th death.

My main criticism is that it’s very short. You can see everything the game has to offer in under an hour if you’re a veteran. For a newcomer, it’s a trial by fire. The visuals are improved over the original, with more dynamic background effects and lighting that makes the 'meltdown' theme pop. It's a free game, so complaining about content feels a bit churlish, but I wish there was more to sink my teeth into. It’s a great snack, but not a full meal.
