Heck Deck is one of the most inventive genre-mashes I've played in years. It takes the frantic action of a 'bullet hell' shooter and fuses it with the tactical pacing of a card-based deckbuilder. The genius move here is that time only moves when you move. This turns what would be a chaotic screen of projectiles into a thoughtful, turn-based strategy game.
Every 'card' in your hand represents a different weapon or defensive move, but they also cost health to use. This creates a fascinating risk-reward loop where you have to decide if it's worth taking a hit to clear a screen or if you can dodge through the rain of bullets using precise movement. The lo-fi art style is charming and keeps the screen readable despite the dozens of objects flying around. It’s a must-play for anyone who thinks they’ve seen everything the mobile puzzle/action genre has to offer.

Heck Deck is a unique blend of card game and shoot 'em up. Navigate levels filled with bullets, but remember: time is frozen until you move. Use your cards to attack, defend, or manipulate time itself. Every card you pick up can be used to clear a path or deal massive damage to bosses, but choose wisely—your health is your currency.
Unique time-stopping mechanics
Over 30 different cards to master
Challenging boss encounters
Charming hand-drawn art style
When the screen is covered in bullets, stop moving! This allows you to look at your cards and plan a route that minimizes damage. Use your 'Slash' cards to destroy projectiles in your immediate path.
