I’ve seen plenty of word games in my forty years, and most of them are just Scrabble clones with a fresh coat of paint. Molecano, however, actually tries something different. Using your words as physical bridges to help a mole cross a volcano is a smart mechanical pivot. It forces you to think about word length and placement rather than just high-value letters, which I can respect from a design standpoint.
But as an old-school gamer, I value precision, and the difficulty curve here feels uneven. Some levels are a breeze, while others feel like they’re artificially padding out your time. It’s a clean experience, free of the usual mobile gunk, but it lacks that ‘one more level’ hook that the true classics have. It's a solid distraction for a commute, nothing more.
