Overboard! is one of the most inventive narrative games I've played in years. You play as Veronica Villensey, who has just pushed her husband off a cruise ship. The goal? Get away with it. Most games ask you to be the hero, but Overboard! lets you be the villain, and it's delightful. Every conversation is a minefield where one wrong word could lead you to the gallows.
The game is designed to be played multiple times. Each 'run' takes about 15-30 minutes, allowing you to experiment. What if I frame the captain? What if I blackmail the witness? The writing is sharp, witty, and perfectly captures a 1930s mystery vibe. Itβs a brilliant 'reverse whodunnit' that challenges your logic and your morals in equal measure.

Overboard! relit my gaming spark. The visual novel takes the fun trappings of mysteries and whodunnit puzzles but turns the genre on its head.
