Slime 3K: Rise against Despot is a masterclass in the 'Survivor' subgenre, injecting much-needed tactical depth via its deck-building system. As a fan of the Despot series, I was thrilled to see the same biting humor and grotesque pixel art translated so well into a bullet-heaven format. The ability to curate your skill pool before a run starts transforms the typical RNG frustration into a strategic puzzle of building the ultimate gooey engine of destruction.
Progression feels earned and meaningful. The sheer variety of weapons—from spinning blades to high-tech lasers—ensures that no two 'evolutions' feel identical. While the difficulty spikes can be brutal, the DNA upgrade system provides a satisfying sense of power creep. If you're tired of clones and want a survival game with a brain and a very dark heart, Slime 3K is an absolute mandatory play.
I’m getting sick of the 'Vampire Survivors' clones popping up every five minutes, but I’ll admit Slime 3K actually brings something to the table. The deck-building aspect isn't just a gimmick; it genuinely changes how you approach each run. Being able to curate your upgrades before you even start adds a layer of strategy that’s missing from most of these mindless bullet-hell titles. The art style is grotesque and weird, fitting perfectly with the Despot's Game lore, which I’ve always had a soft spot for.
However, it still suffers from the usual genre pitfalls. The late-game screen clutter is atrocious—half the time I can't even tell where my slime ends and the explosions begin. And while the card system is good, the balancing is a bit all over the place. Some builds are practically invincible, while others leave you as a puddle on the floor within minutes. It’s addictive, I’ll give it that, but it needs a few more balance passes before I’d call it a masterpiece. For an old-school gamer, the grind for cards is a bit tedious, but the gameplay loop is solid enough to keep me coming back for 'one more run' for a while.
Performance: Significant slowdown during end-game waves with multiple projectiles.
Buy if: You love Vampire Survivors but wish it had more strategy and weird slimes.
Skip if: You have a low tolerance for screen-shaking chaos and grinding for unlocks.

Requires iOS 17.6 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.A blob of goo used to create artificial humans has become sentient and risen up against its creator — the Despot, an evil AI and (unfortunately) ruler of the world in the year 3000! Become this murderous jelly and pave your path with death, violence and pretzels in this action-packed roguelite from the creators of Despot's Game and Despotism 3K. We tried to blatantly clone games like Vampire Survivors, Halls of Torment, Brotato, Soulstone Survivors and 20 Minutes Till Dawn, but our crazy experiments went too far. By introducing a shop straight out of AutoChess and some TCG deckbuilding mechanics to the familiar formula, we created what we've dubbed our perfect abomination: Slime 3K.
DECKBUILDING MEETS MEATGRINDING
Slime 3K adds strategic depth and more creative experimentation to the survivor-like formula by introducing a deep deckbuilding system. Unlock, upgrade, mix and match your cards to stock up an impressive arsenal of zany weapons and traits. Create the perfect bloodbath loadout for each run!
SURVIVE THE ONSLAUGHT
Your enemies get stronger every minute, and so should you! Explore tons of fun approaches to good ol' annihilation — electrocute everyone, throw acid on the floor, mow down puny humans with an AK-47, summon zombies, or throw explosive watermelons!
GOTTA BLOB 'EM ALL
Get ready to take on every creation the mad Despot can come up with: knights, mutants, cyborg abominations, ballerinas, stilt acrobats, carnivorous tomatoes, and Despot knows what else. The tiny pink humans make such a satisfying pop when you crush them!

Slime 3K: Rise against Despot puts you in the gooey shoes of a bio-engineered Slime on a rampage. Unlike other survivor games, you customize your ability pool by building a deck. Collect DNA to evolve, unlock insane weapons like Tesla coils and meat grinders, and take down the Despot's puny human army.
Unique Card-Based Ability System
Insane Weapon Variety
Darkly Humorous Setting
Addictive Roguelite Gameplay
Focus on 'Area of Effect' (AoE) cards early on. The Slime is slow, so you need to clear the space around you to avoid being boxed in by human swarms.
Use the DNA you collect during runs to unlock permanent stat boosts in the main menu, making your Slime tougher for future attempts.
Yes, it is set in the same universe and features the same dark humor and pixel art style.
