Dinsun Review
I’ve spent plenty of time with Ultimate Chicken Horse on PC, and the core concept remains one of the most ingenious party game loops in the last decade. The tension of placing a trap that you think you can dodge but your opponents can't is peak multiplayer gaming. However, moving this to a smartphone is a double-edged sword. While the port is faithful in terms of content, the precision required for some of the more difficult platforming sections is simply lost on a glass screen.
For a guy like me who prefers a tactile controller, the touch buttons feel floaty and unreliable when things get chaotic. That said, it's still miles ahead of the usual trash on the App Store. It’s a real game with real depth, even if it’s best played with a Bluetooth controller synced to your phone. It hasn't been 'mobile-fied' with predatory microtransactions, which I respect immensely. It’s just a bit too clunky in its current handheld form to get the high score the original deserves.
