If you ever felt the original Monopoly board game was too slow, Monopoly Tycoon is the answer. It successfully blends 'SimCity-lite' elements with the core DNA of the property game we all know. The visual style is fantastic—it feels like a high-end toy box coming to life.
What I appreciate most is the move away from pure luck. While there are still random elements, your success depends more on how you choose to develop your city and manage your resources. It’s a 'freemium' title, so there are timers, but the game is generous enough with rewards that you can make significant progress without spending. It’s a great evolution of the franchise for the mobile generation.
Dinsun here. I struggle with the concept of 'games' that play themselves. Mightycat is a perfectly functional idle RPG, but it offers nothing new. You watch a cat hit things, the numbers go up, you buy an upgrade so the numbers go up faster. It's the ultimate 'look at my phone while I'm doing something else' experience.
The art is generic mobile fare—big eyes, bright colors, meant to appeal to everyone and no one. It’s designed to be addictive, not enjoyable. I find the lack of agency insulting to the medium. If you want to watch a cat do things, buy a real cat. If you want to play a game, look elsewhere.
Performance: Runs well in the background; minimal battery drain.
Buy if: You enjoy idle games and the feeling of incremental progress without effort.
Skip if: You want to actually play a game.

Pay close attention to property auctions. Sometimes it's better to let a rival overpay for a property just to drain their cash reserves before a big mission.
