Cannonbowling: Strike Action is a wacky and creative departure from traditional bowling games. By replacing the bowler with a high-powered cannon, the game transforms a sport of precision into an explosive physics playground. You’re not just aiming for a strike; you’re managing trajectories, wind, and specialized ammo types to demolish increasingly bizarre pin formations.
The physics engine is the star here, with pins flying and colliding in a very satisfying way. The levels move beyond the standard lane, placing pins on moving platforms, inside destructible crates, and even floating in the air. It’s a loud, colorful, and genuinely funny game that rewards experimentation. It’s perfect for anyone who finds regular bowling a bit too slow and wants to see things go 'boom' instead.
I actually enjoyed the first few levels of this. There’s something inherently satisfying about firing a cannon at a tower of bowling pins. The physics are decent—they feel 'arcadey' but predictable enough to master. Some of the later levels add wind and moving platforms, which provides a much-needed challenge.
But once the novelty of 'bowling with a gun' wears off—which happens around level 30—there isn't much left to hold your interest. The environments are bland and the music is a 30-second loop that will drive you insane. It’s a good 'toilet game,' but don't expect it to be the next Angry Birds. It’s a solid 5/10 experience that doesn't overstay its welcome only because you'll likely delete it within a day.

Cannonbowling: Strike Action reimagines bowling as a tactical shooter. Armed with a variety of cannons and power-ups, you must clear the pins in a series of increasingly wild environments. From pirate ships to outer space, each lane presents a new challenge in physics and timing. Unlock new cannonballs with unique properties—like bombs, split-shots, and magnets—to achieve the perfect strike and climb the global leaderboards.
Explosive physics gameplay
Multiple cannon and ball types
Wacky puzzle environments
Daily strike challenges
In levels with walls, try to bounce your shot off the side rather than aiming directly at the center pin. A well-placed ricochet can hit the pins from the side, creating a domino effect that is much more likely to result in a strike.
For 'Split' pin formations, use the Frag-Ball. It explodes on impact, sending shrapnel in every direction to take out those stubborn corner pins that a standard shot would miss.
Yes, there is an asynchronous 'Tournament Mode' where you can compete for the high score on the same lane against players worldwide.
