Shuriken Cut: Split in IOS

Throw! Slash! Split in Two!

Walkthrough, Guilds, Tips on this special game

Our Site Score

81/100

Shuriken Cut Split takes the familiar 'slicing' mechanic and turns it into a high-stakes physics puzzle. Instead of just mindlessly swiping, you have to calculate the trajectory of your shurikens to split objects in specific ways to trigger chain reactions. The tactile feedback when you land a perfect 'split' is immensely satisfying, reminiscent of the best classic mobile arcade games but with a modern, sharper edge.

The level design is where the game really shines. Just when you think you've mastered the physics, the game introduces moving obstacles, gravity wells, and fragile objectives that you must avoid hitting. It requires a blend of fast reflexes and forward-thinking. While the ad frequency can be a bit high between levels, the actual gameplay loop is so tight and rewarding that it's easy to overlook for the sake of 'just one more level.'

Dinsun Review

We were doing this in 2010. Slicing things on a screen has been explored to death. Shuriken Cut Split adds a projectile mechanic, which is fine, but it doesn't change the fact that you're just swiping at a screen like a cat. The 'split' mechanic is just another way to say 'combo.'

It’s colorful, it’s fast, and it’s completely forgettable. The feedback loop is purely cosmetic—you slice, things explode, you get coins, you buy a new shuriken that does the exact same thing but in blue. I’m 40 years old; I need more than a shiny object and a 'whoosh' sound to keep me interested. This is a digital fidget spinner. It works, but it’s hollow.
