Fishbowl Racer is a quirky, physics-based racer that feels like a spiritual successor to games like Hill Climb Racing, but with a literal fish out of water. Controlling a fish in a rolling bowl while navigating household obstacles is a hilarious premise that actually requires quite a bit of finesse.

The tilt controls feel surprisingly natural, though they can be a bit sensitive on smaller screens. The challenge comes from balancing your speed—go too fast and you'll shatter your bowl; go too slow and you'll run out of time. It’s a great 'coffee break' game with a fun art style and a premise that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Dinsun Review

This is barely a game. I’ve seen more complex mechanics in cereal box prizes. You tap, the fish moves, you don't tap, it doesn't. There is zero nuance to the 'racing,' and the AI is either brain-dead or cheating—there is no middle ground. The visuals are something you’d expect from a student project in 2010.

I’m trying to find something positive to say for the sake of fairness. It's functional? It didn't crash? But there's no soul here. No reason to keep playing after five minutes. It’s the kind of shovelware that clutters the App Store, taking up space that could be used by actual developers. If you're over the age of six, you'll be bored before the first lap is over. It’s a waste of storage.

Fishbowl Racer is an unconventional racing game where the protagonist is a fish inside a glass bowl. Players must navigate through various household environments—from the kitchen counter to the backyard—by tilting and rolling the bowl. The game relies on momentum and gravity; you'll need to time your descents to gain enough speed to clear jumps while ensuring you land softly enough to prevent the glass from breaking. It’s a test of reflexes and physics-based puzzle solving.

Q&A

If your bowl breaks, you lose the level and must restart from the last checkpoint. Upgrading your bowl's durability helps prevent this.
