Sunday Lawn is a quintessential Donut Games title—easy to pick up, vibrant, and surprisingly strategic. You play as Charlie, who just wants a perfectly manicured lawn, but the puzzles quickly escalate. Navigating around obstacles like hedgehogs and dogs while trying to find the most efficient path to cut 100% of the grass is a great mental workout.

The variety of modes is what gives the game its longevity. The 'Sweet Dreams' bonus game is a hilarious change of pace, and the 80+ challenges ensure that you'll be playing this for a long time. It captures the satisfaction of those 'fill-the-grid' puzzles but with a charming theme and great controls. It’s a perfect mobile game for puzzle lovers who appreciate a bit of personality.

Dinsun Review

Donut Games has a very specific style: simple, clean, and mildly addictive. Sunday Lawn is exactly that. It’s a pathing puzzle dressed up as a weekend chore. I appreciate the logic required to clear a lawn without getting stuck or hitting an obstacle. It’s honest gameplay—it doesn’t try to be anything it isn't.

That said, it’s not exactly thrilling. The music will drive you mad after fifteen levels, and the art style is a bit too 'cutesy shareware' for my taste. It’s a solid time-waster, but it doesn't have the staying power of a true classic. It’s a 6/10 experience that I’ll play while waiting for a doctor’s appointment and then forget immediately.

Tips

Efficient Mowing

Swipe to move Charlie in any direction. He will move until he hits an obstacle or a fence. The trick to getting 3 stars is to cover the entire lawn without retracing your steps too often. Watch out for animals; they'll move and can block your path or end your run if you collide!
