I’ve played fishing games that were actually relaxing, but Net Fishing is just busywork. The core mechanic of dragging your net around is mind-numbingly simple and doesn't change regardless of what you're catching. There's no tension, no 'fight' with the fish, and no skill involved. You just tap until your inventory is full, then watch an ad to double your coins so you can buy a net that holds three more fish. It’s the quintessential mobile 'treadmill'.
The art style is clean enough, but the world feels empty. There's no sense of exploration, just a series of static backgrounds with different colored pixels swimming across them. It’s an idle game masquerading as an action game, and it fails to be compelling in either category. If you want to fish, go outside or play Ridiculous Fishing. This is just a waste of battery life.
