Wed Jun 26 2024 tinyarteeestThis game is the best game I have come across… ever. It is so immersive and has you playing nonstop until you finish. The only complaint I have is that it is too short. It would be wonderful to have an update, or an add-on or something like that. Also, I was wondering why this game had (only) 4.8 stars, so I read the reviews. The one star reviews are from people who didn’t understand the game or thought it had bugs, but really it was meant to be played a different way than the way they were playing, for example, one review said that it ended when it said “a new beginning” or someone else said that it just kept taking them back to the start, but really they just had to interact and get through the puzzles. And it would be nice to have some kind of walkthrough or extra hints. This is the longest review I have written, but it is just because this game is so outstanding. Thu May 07 2020 ♙♘♗♖♕♔♚♛♜♝♞♟I don’t usually write reviews, but this app definitely deserves one. I’ve been following your stuff for a while now and have downloaded all your games. This one in particular is quite possibly one of the best puzzle games I’ve played so far. Not only does it change art styles constantly, but the music changes as well (both the art and music are beautiful as well). My favorite part, though, has to be the very unorthodox methods of solving puzzles. You have the normal variation of touch gestures, but you also have to move the phone around, shake it, use the volume buttons and the charging cable, etc. I love how it tells a story, too. The narrative is great. This is quite honestly one of my all time favorite mobile games and I am looking forward to future games.
Fun, but very tricky!
Wed Dec 16 2020 BiggggmannnnnI’ve played other games by this developer, like Bacon and Okay. Both were fun in concept, but Okay got hard way too quickly, and Bacon is riddled with ads!
Song of Bloom is very different! I read that it took a year and a half, and it shows! It’s very creative, but you may need a walkthrough, because it’s very confusing, even a little convoluted! But I played through the game twice now, and I absolutely love it! Just a couple of things that keep it from a 5 star game:
1) There’s a bug at the end (the final puzzle) where you put flowers on the tree. The game didn’t register that I’d finished the level, so it technically didn’t end the game lol! Please fix this bug!
2) The origami level with the red roof was very frustrating and took me way too long to finally do! Also, the puzzle where you “bloom” the flowers was very confusing and ultimately very aggravating! This game is not very forgiving at all!
If there are more glitches, I’ll update this review, but other than what I’ve mentioned, the game runs pretty smoothly! The art and music are both incredible, and I definitely recommend you play Song of Bloom at least once - you’ll love it! Just know that it’s very short, maybe 45 minutes to an hour.
Advice (maybe a mild spoiler): Make sure you’re near your phone or iPad charger before you play, you’ll need it!
Rare experience
Mon Dec 23 2019 JackismadMore art than game, immersive, and just great. I don’t know how to describe it other than a mysterious collage of everyday things blended into a puzzle game / story. It’s hard to understand at first but you get what you have to do clearly by the end. It’s pretty easy to do which is nice, this game’s focus isn’t on difficulty. Oh and the constantly changing music brings the whole thing to life and changes the atmosphere of each section. Reminds me a little of Vignettes in that way.
I may be misinterpreting it but it seems like the story is about creativity and possibly imagination. And actually that’s kinda what the entire game is about.
I can’t really describe the charm and intrigue to this game with words, so play it for yourself!
Beautiful but….
Sun Sep 22 2024 SuzshoI couldn’t figure out at all how to navigate from one level to the next and had to keep starting from the beginning. This meant that I had to repeatedly solve the same puzzles over and over. Is this intentional? Some were easy to repeat but some were not and it quickly became frustrating and lost its appeal. Some puzzles seemed pretty cool and I was looking forward to playing more but ended up deleting. Way too obscure to be fun. Cheers for those who figured things out and were able to play it. I’m not one of them. I’m one of the ones who wonder if the game is obscure for the sake of being obscure. And re: the review that said how the dev is unresponsive - there is really no room in my heart for unresponsive devs. Imo, this game is poorly designed which makes it not fun to play.
Unlike Anything Else
Sat Aug 15 2020 JanuaryOysterI absolutely adored this game. I have never played anything like it before! Beautiful design, inventive puzzles, excellent soundtrack.... This game has everything you need to get lost in another world that is magical and moving.
No instructions are given but you really don’t need any. Just pay attention. But don’t get too wrapped up in memorizing every detail, you only need to notice one thing at a time. And if you miss something, there are helpful clues you can come back to at any time.
I recommend playing this game when you’re not terribly busy so that you can fully experience the process but if you want to play it in small bits and pieces, that’s okay too.

This one’s the best, I think, but have really enjoyed several of his others. Great look, cool music, interesting voices, etc. I love puzzles though and this was the most puzzling. Do-able, but took a while. Wasn’t sure how I actually solved the last one (I did the same thing as I thought I had done several times already), but perseverance finally paid off. More please!

This game is just quite simply amazing, and deserved Apple's award easily. It's beautiful, it's dark, it's engaging, it's impossibly creative... I love everything about it and am so happy I had the opportunity to play it. I really can't say much more than that other than you should give it a try if this genre of game is appealing to you. In some ways it reminds me of monument valley (not in the way puzzles are solved but how secrets are unveiled and how you feel more and more a part of the world the longet you play). Great game!!!!!
