80/100

UNO: Arcade Edition™ successfully translates the timeless charm of the physical card game into a slick, highly accessible mobile experience. Mattel163 has done an excellent job of presenting the game with bright, snappy graphics and an intuitive interface that makes dragging and dropping cards feel natural. The inclusion of house rules—such as the beloved 'stacking' mechanic for draw cards—is a massive plus, allowing players to tailor the chaos to their liking. Furthermore, being on Apple Arcade means the obnoxious coin economies of other digital UNO versions are entirely absent.

The main drawbacks stem primarily from the online infrastructure. While playing against AI is functional, the true joy of UNO is multiplayer, and occasional connectivity hiccups can disrupt the flow of a fast-paced game. Additionally, progression to unlock new avatars and cosmetic decks can feel like a bit of a slow grind. Still, these are relatively minor issues in what is otherwise the definitive, most consumer-friendly way to play UNO on a mobile device.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. We’ve all played UNO. This 'Arcade Edition' is essentially a sanitized version of the mobile app we've had for years, now without the annoying pop-ups asking for gems. The interface is loud and colorful—maybe a bit too much for my taste—but the matchmaking is fast and the rules are exactly what you expect.

My gripe is that there’s no real 'new' reason to play this over a physical deck with friends, other than convenience. The 'arcade' flair is mostly just visual noise. It’s a functional way to play a classic game, and being on Apple Arcade means the competitive integrity isn't ruined by people buying power-ups. It’s a solid 7-out-of-10 card game that won't surprise anyone.
