I’ve seen better 'digging' games on a graphing calculator. 'Auto Diggers' is the peak of lazy game design. You watch a pixelated drill go down, a bar fills up, you click a button to make the bar fill faster, and then you repeat until you die or delete the app. There is no strategy. There is no skill. There isn't even a particularly good visual reward for your 'progress.'
The monetization is as subtle as a sledgehammer. Every few minutes, a popup appears offering to triple your 'offline earnings' if you watch a 30-second ad for some other garbage game. It’s a loop of watching ads to play a game that is essentially just a series of progress bars. I understand the appeal of a 'zen' idle game, but this one is too aggressively monetized to be relaxing and too simple to be engaging. It’s the digital equivalent of watching paint dry, but the paint asks you for five dollars every ten minutes.
