Dinsun here. Finally, a real game. Huntdown is a breath of fresh air in a mobile market choked by idle games and match-3 clones. This is a tough-as-nails, precision run-and-gun shooter that demands focus. The cover mechanic elevates it from a simple Contra-clone to a tactical arcade game. The bosses are challenging, the level design is superb, and the 16-bit pixel art is some of the best I've ever seen on any platform.
My only real critique—and the reason it doesn't score higher—is the controls. Playing a game this demanding with virtual touch buttons is inherently frustrating. You *can* do it, but to truly enjoy Huntdown, you must pair a Bluetooth controller. If you have a controller, this is an easy 90+. If you are stuck using glass, it’s an 84. Regardless, it is a masterclass in retro game design and absolutely worth the premium price tag.
