The Unfinished Swan in IOS

Paint A World To Life

Walkthrough, Guilds, Tips on this special game

Our Site Score

94/100

The Unfinished Swan is a poetic masterpiece that uses a simple mechanic—throwing paint—to explore themes of grief, wonder, and discovery. You start in a world of pure white, and your only way to see is to splat black paint against the invisible geometry. It is a brilliant metaphor for a child navigating the unknown after the loss of a parent.

The game constantly evolves, introducing new mechanics just as you get comfortable. From growing vines to navigating a dark forest using glowing orbs, the gameplay feels fresh throughout its short runtime. The story, narrated like a classic fairy tale, is touching without being overly sentimental. It’s an artistic achievement that proves mobile games can be just as emotionally resonant and visually stunning as any big-budget console title. It’s truly unforgettable.

Dinsun Review

Dinsun here. This is a classic, and I’m glad it made its way to mobile. The opening minutes, where you’re just splattering paint to find your way in a void, are still some of the most striking moments in gaming. It’s a literal blank canvas that becomes a world. The way the mechanics evolve as you move through the chapters—introducing water and vines—is handled with a lot of grace.

It’s more of an 'experience' than a hardcore game, but it’s a high-quality one. The narration is excellent, and the sense of wonder is genuine. It’s short, yes, but every moment feels intentional. It doesn't overstay its welcome. In an industry of bloat, I appreciate that. It's a bit of a masterpiece, even if it's a gentle one.
